I know what you mean Phoebe and Birdluv! Except my birds do it with grapes because they make a big 'splat' sound and grape juice runs all over my floor making it sticky! They definately do have a sense of humour! :ausb:

She does love her bath yes....I think she thinks she's a duck and not a budgie She sits in her bath for ages and paddles round and round splashing with her wings. I will try to get a video of it on here sometime, just need to read up on how it's done.

They just look so funny after a bath.... She's got the spiked look right, all she needs now is a bit of tartan and a few safety pins Bubbles likes to soak herself all over then sit by me and shake herself (as a dog would) to make sure I get wet and can join in the water fun too...crazy bird. :ausb:

Oh that's good...I thought it was like not knowing what breed your dog was!! It's nice to know though, I can sound abit more knowledgeable now.

What a really sad story but Kerrie you were the guardian angel for those 2 lucky survivors :angel1: I can't even imagine what that poor family must be going through! I found it really hard to cope when 1 of my budgies died! I can't imagine multiplying the pain by 50.... I hope that agency (or at least the petsitter) gets what they deserve and learn their lesson so this can never happen again IF they're still allowed to work! Kerrie you are a hero!

Hi everyone Been having a wee look through this topic and tried to identify my birds myself but would greatly appreciate your help!! Could somone tell me what they are and what are the identifying features....please I think Stewie is just a normal blue budgie but really confused about Bubbles Bubbles looks a bit too yellow in the photo, she has a good lot of light green on her body, back and the tips of most of her wing feathers. Oh and her eyes are all black, she has no white iris like Stewie. Her cere is, what I have heard other people descirbe as, crusted (not smooth like Stewie's). Oh and out of interest what is this little one: (Joey who died about a year ago but I never knew what he was either!) Thanks, Nicola :budgiedance:

Have just read little Trooper's story and it's amazing how well these little birds can overcome bad luck with help from their human friends and their feathered ones! It brings a smile to my face (and sometimes a tear). He is very handsome Bubbles, you should be very proud! Go Trooper!!!

Typical men!!!! I am having the same problem. (sigh) I think Stewie has definately hit adolescence. He has recently started rubbing himself on the side of the cage when he's out. He starts off just flirting with the water container then has some 'fun' with the cage! It's only the cage though, never anything else. I think he must be quite fussy. The thing is I think Bubbles would quite like him to have 'fun' with her as she often makes the 'U' shape after they have been feeding eachother! Maybe Stewie is intimidated by the older woman. Poor neglected females!!!

A week after I first got Bubbles she flew into the bathroom. I ran in after her and she was sitting on the toilet seat but when I went over to her she seemed to slip and fell in! She and I had quite a fright that day but luckily the experience hasn't put her off water though!!!

This makes me want to start breeding my budgies, they are SO cute!! I think I like Vinnie the best but its so hard to choose! Congratulations on your new fledglings.

Stewie and Bubbles have now got big heads knowing that people are saying nice things about them :budgiedance: I'm gonna play about with the photobucket thing and try and resize my future pics, but I hope to get more on soon!!! It's great to be finally a member on this site, I've viewed the forums as a guest on many occasions but have only recently got an e-mail address I could use!!! Really happy to be here!!!
