Bond, the youngest of the babies was on my bed helping me pack (as all budgies do) and he decided to fly for the first time ever! He has tried before but never actually taken off. He is 4 weeks and 2 days old and living with his mum and dad and playing with me and my partner everyday. My partner is so Jealous of what little bond did. And well his first flight took him to me, Yes he flew to me, and he did it again and again and again..... Here are 2 vids of me being very sooky with him. and if you can't see where he is he is on the pink robe on the bed. http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j185/Pet...nt=IMGP3402.flv http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j185/Pet...nt=IMGP3404.flv
  2. I have a Little boy that likes to "do" the Pirch! He will try to kiss the hanging ball with a bell in it then puts one leg up on it and keeps the other leg on the pirch and then rubs his 'thing' on the pirch. It was so funny the first time i saw it, but now he does it a couple of times a day.

I have only experienced this behaviour in very young babies, How old are they?
  4. There is an Aviarian Vet in Cambeltown that only charges about $45 for a sunday appointment. I rushed one of my birds to him from the north shore of sydney (about 1.5hrs drive each way) as it was the only Avarian vet in sydney open that day, but as it turns out the cheapest. If you want his details let me know. Also my bird survived and is doing very well.
  5. It runs slow if it is not totally loaded, just load the site and wait a good 30 seconds then hit play.

  9. Your creamino and recessive are from what is called recessive genes.......which in layman terms means like a "throwback" to heredity in the gene pool of Mums and Dads. Your parents are visually carrying yellowface and blues...which is where you get the Female Normal Cobalt Male Normal Cobalt Male Yellowface 2 Cobalt Male Yellowface 1 Cobalt and in their hidden gene pool they are carrying the recessive pied gene and ino gene. As you have a creamino...that is a yellowface albino....so that comes from the visual yellowface gene and the hidden ino gene. Hope I helped. Thanks for your help, I have been breeding budgies for about 10 years and I still don't get genetics. Because i didn't believe one set of parents could have that many babies of different varieties I chose not to believe the youngest girl was a cremino, I thought there had to be something else she could be. Thanks Again Bubbles
  10. Thanks. So now i have a new question: How can i get: Female Cremino Female Ressesive Pied Female Normal Cobalt Male Normal Cobalt Male Yellowface 2 Cobalt Male Yellowface 1 Cobalt Is this possible or did Ricki (mum) do 'it' with someone through the bars?
  11. They were only in the breeding cage and one of the other babies is a ressesive pied so issumed they were both split for that. What is going on here?
  12. Well she has faint wing markings - yellowish/white with the shiney white egde on the end. Does this help?
  13. Is that possible to get this many different types out of the same parents? I'm really starting to confuse myself here.
  14. I have Six babies from the Same Parents and I don't know what type one of the babies is. Can you Help? This is the Baby: The father is the Normal Cobalt: The Mother is the one on the Left: Here are the other Babies with Mum (On right), There is 2 Normal Cobalt, 1 ressesive Pied, 1 Yellowface 1 Cobalt and a Yellowface type 2 Cobalt. Thanks for your help.
