Hello! I havn't posted on this fantastic forum for a while, been a bit sad since loosing my first budgie Billy but just posted about that on the "in memory" section which was soooo good for my soul! When i had billy i bought Bacci to keep him company. A lovely little guy. Is he a boy? Now that billy has gone it has been lovely to get to know Bacci better. Now I want to get another one to keep Bacci company! No one ever warned me that budgies are addictive! :budgiedance: Here he is:

What a funny guy! well if it suits him and he is happy i guess it doesn't really matter!

I know! It's a tree in my back yard, it hangs over the clothes line, he normally sits on my shoulder when i hang the washing but that day seemed to want to sit in the tree! (He can't fly, got no flight/tail feathers that's why outside with me)

When i hang out the washing Billy loves playing with the frangipani flowers, so i thought i'd let him clamber in the tree, he looked so cute i took photos! his yellow head kinda matches. He sat there for ages happily chattering i love mum's toes!

Hi and welcome i can't offer much advice pretty new to budgies too, but wanted to say a big "Good On You" for looking after the birds, its probably what your father would have wanted. :angel1:

Got home from work tonight and, as usual, went straight to cage, BUT IT WAS EMPTY!!!! went into complete panic as my budgie can't fly and it was kinda hot today, and is long way to ground to fall from his cage and where the *** was he???? Then i hear a little chirp and there he is sitting on the floor behind the cage! poor little guy was really thirsty and hungry. I have absolutely no idea how he got out, the doors are wired shut, could he have squeezed through wires? now am really worried he's going to do it again, he not safe on his own wondering around on the floor all day!!! What to do??? any suggestions??? here is photo of cage - are gaps too big? he is a very small budgie. tried to get my hand in shot to get idea of perspective.
