  1. I bet they enjoyed their outdoor time
  2. I was going to comment you on your nice pot stand I saw there in the kitchen. At the time I was thinking that, like wine racks they could make an unusual perch setup. Buut, having read that other post, and the pot holder being reflective, maybe not a good idea :hap:
  3. Brilliant, printed and filed.
  4. Mum's fairly new camera, isn't it Kirby?
  5. They certainly seem to be enjoying themselves, Birdluv, and they do get spoilt often. Kali, I thought the roof on this one was really ugly (forest green with an orangey red??) ... but I am so glad I got this cage. I ever I put the roof on it, I will paint it first.

Hi Chris, I am no breeder, so I can't tell you what age they learn to regurgitate their food, but it sounds like he adores your head scratches.
  7. He sounds like such a funny character, Bea. Hopefully it's nothing.
  8. The book already has paying customers lined up. I'm first in line for my foot printed copy
  9. S/he is so cute. Love the cock bird in your second pair.
  10. I love the eyes on white birds with an iris ring.. they are so pretty.. it is one of the things that made me fall in love with Oh-oh.
  11. Hi Kerrie, 1 to 2 weeks old they should be handled daily, from what I have come to understand. I would try to take Bubbles up on her offer to visit her aviary as she has chicks in the nest and can show you all the things you need to check. I know you are back at work, but maybe the weekend? You need to check for things like food stuck in their upper beak amongst other things and she can show you how to clear it. Feathers.
  12. I agree, great markings.. now, can I have that order in blue please? I am going to keep an eye on Candy and Goliath's third bub...
  13. Oh, she is a stunning bird, lucky Cheeta.
  14. :(Laughing out loud): That is the funniest thing I have read for a while

I think you should take the bird to an avian vet to check for a possible tumour.
  16. I was going to ask the same thing.. I thought YF type 2 was refered to as a golden face? Just like danish are called recessive..
  17. Oh Riebe, I actually feel really sad for you. He is so vain... Hopefully you will find some way to win back his love.
  18. See, if she looks like Crystal, very pretty
  19. I agree, Golly is gorgeous, and baby 3 looks like it will feather up nicely too.
  20. Yep, Cheeta. Even if I had wanted to keep the roof on I probably would have done the same thing. Put on a layer of mesh before adding the roof. The cages are so much more useful being able to hang swings, toys, etc. No way of hanging things may even have been a reason the previous owner didn't want it.

Hi Bigyin, happy new year to you too. My daughter was the same as you, she didn't think her bird was drinking any water. She didn't check it for a while and one day I found it dry and we ended up with a sick bird with a respiritory illness. The antibiotics for which are dissolved in the water. Thankfully the bird recovered, she now knows how much they need their water!
  22. Fantastic photos, Bea... I love Ozzie, he's so handsome

My daughter's albino looked seriously male until about 2 weeks ago when the cere turned a very light beige colour.. So Alalard has just become Adelene.. Some can be really hard to pick.
  24. Hey, that is a really great idea... very clever, can't wait to hear how it goes.
  25. There's my pretty baby, Baby! It was so nice to look at these again, she is a little star. I suppose you don't get to be 15 years old without realising how much fun a bath can be.
