  1. Hi there Misty. Both of those birds are absolutely gorgeous and they would have some lovely chicks. Feathers.

HI Amy and Eric, it is great to have you here at the BBC forum. I'm looing forward to seeing photos of your flock. What state are you in, and what does CCBS stand for? Feathers.
  3. Hi Leanne, great progress with your little guy. It sounds like the start of a beautiful friendship. Feathers.
  4. I swear Oz is getting better looking every day. And Bailey, just too cute, really knows how to tug the heart strings I imagine. The other two are always gorgeous. Feathers.

Hi Nharvi, Konrad was certainly having fun exploring her new home. It looked great Feathers.
  6. Great photos. I bet the excitement outweighed the tiredness, he looks great and very proud to be able to present the money. Feathers.
  7. They are just the sweetest birds and they bring me a lot of happiness. You need to look in all the discount stores, Michelle, I have found some great bird stuff in them. Feathers.
  8. Way to go Bud! It seems like such a lot of eggs for such a little bird, doesn't it? I hope mine is finished at 8, she was due to have one today, but no sign of one early this afternoon. Will check tomorrow. Feathers.
  9. Excellent, I will need some more names when I put in two more pairs tomorrow. I turned another flight cage into a double breeding cage today so that I can put in more pairs. This time I changed the way I put it together. The last cages I opened the feeding doors near the bottom and mounted the nestboxes there. double breeding cage MkI Although this design has been working well and the pairs have been happily getting down to breeding I figured that I would improve on the original. When I converted the cage today I cut 5 bars out of both sides at the top of the cage and mounted the nestboxes up there instead. If I want to return the cage to the original state for a flight cage I would simply cover the hole with aviary wire. double breeding cage MkII Here they are stacked: This brings my total breeding cages to 11 at the moment. Feathers.
  10. I thought I would share kitty TV. My 3 cats all think that I have birds for their entertainment. They will quite happily sit and watch them all day. This in Mulky watching over the aviary. and WHY does she think that is such a good spot? Because you can lie down and still get a good look at the budgies of course! Feathers
  11. Thank you. Buffy and Snorky... Kazbee and Beaker. It's kinda of nice that Kaz picks Kazbee's girlfriend's name as she bought Kazbee for me. All of my exhibition birds are listed under ring numbers. I figured they would get names as I used them for breeding. Feathers.
  12. I don't know about 'suiting', but they are just SO wacky I have to use one. I am going to go with Buffy and Snorky. Now I just have to find a name for the skyblue clearwing hen that is with Kazbee. Feathers. ps: no, I don't remember Banana Splits (wierd name By The Way). Training 30 odd hours a week and getting home at around 10pm every night, I missed a LOT of TV in my youth. It's probably why I don't watch much now. We have had Foxtel installed for over a month and I have not watched even 30 seconds of it.
  13. Nope, you bench budgies in 'a' category' There is no category for a yellow face spangle, you would decide whether to bench it as a spangle or a yellow face. Simarlary there is not a category for a spangle clearwing. This budgie is an extremely poorly marked spangle, so it would be benched as a clearwing. Feathers.
  14. But the DF Spangle is yellow... Feathers.
  15. You would need to use a hardwood like Jarrah. Or you could make a more enclosed cage with a wire front out of chipboard or melamine and a plywood backing. Feathers.
  16. Quite possibly, Elly, but it would be entered in a show as a clearwing. Feathers.
  17. I hate to say that I agree. Feathers.
  18. Hey, I like that.. it goes with Beachu (beat you) when I had more budgies than Cheeta, way back at about 24 budgies Feathers.

Hi tim, a big welcome to our BBC forum. It is a fantastic budgie place on the net. I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your little guy. Feathers.
  22. I am still absolutely, totally, in love with Pastelle. They are all so beautiful, I'm looking forward to seeing the new clutch hatch. Feathers.
  23. Unfortuantely I got to see it in action when it was full of sick birds from the poisoning episode The cage itself works brilliantly. Feathers.
  24. Absolutely, they are perfect together. Feathers.

Yay, I love Vinnie, I wish you everyone could see his actual colour. BEAUTIFUL! (You can see the depth of colour on the left hand side of the first photo) Umm yes. I looked at the crustiness on that first phot0 and thought you were right the first time. It was a girl, then a boy, but looks girl again now. Feathers.
