A Guide To.... Books
Just found this thread not that it was that difficult (blonde moment again), anyway...looking for books I found this site that has all the ABK publications for probably the best prices I've seen here in Australia. They are credit card only, but the postage rate is really good. http://www.seekbooks.com.au/PopCat.asp?sto...atSub=PET002000 That will take you straight to the bird section hopefully. Just checked on postage and it's $6.50 for the first book then nothing after, I repeat nothing. Personally I will be buying up big when the tax check comes in. I get my copies of both in a couple of weeks. Basic health disease and incubation and handraising. Can't wait. Got them from the seek books site. Bit painful with the wait, but the price is the best I've seen. Also a book on lorikeets and a non ABK on conures. Don't ask, mutiple bird syndrome bid time.

Book Recommendations
Just wondering if anyone can recommend some really good budgie books. The main areas I need covered are breeding, handraising and genetics. This forum is fantastic (well done to Adam & staff), however there are times that things happen and a physical information source would be really handy, rather then wading through the forums. I really appreciate all the information you've been able to give so far and hope to be able to give back to the forum myself sometime soon. Now about those books...

What Is Squidgee?
Aaaw. Thank you to everyone for their kind coments. I have to admit that Squidgee is one the most unusual budgies I've owned. Personality plus. He lets you know if he's out of seed by running up and attacking until you sort it out. Little sod I make handcrafted toys and he's the budgie tester, only problem is that he'll play with anything (including fluff) so don't know whether to take his opinion seriously. (Laughing out loud). Thanks again for your lovely comments.

What Is Squidgee?
Thanks for that. I was thinking pied. Squidgee is about 3 months old and was a handraised baby I bought from my local bird dealer. Very confident little soul. I also have 3 indian ringnecks that he keeps wanting to play with. Not a smart move.

What Is Squidgee?
Just wondering if anyone can help me with what variety of budgie young Squidgee might be. I'm thinking pied (harlequin) not sure of the terminology. Thanks in advance.

Back To Budgies
Hi to everyone here. I'm actually an exbreeder who after a break is rediscovering the joy of budgie ownership. My son has 2 who are ready to start their first brood and I have the one handraised called Squidgee 'cos he's just so cute. Thanks for having me here and I hope that I may share in the experience with you all.
