I've been up in sunny Brisbane for a week and missed my little one so much! Got home and gave Milly a good flight Wow, I remember this place! *preen* Wait a second, I have my portable head scratcher here! :ausb: Hehehe Uh oh.. before, I licked my lips without any thought and Milly started nibbling around my mouth. Eek. I'm worried now. She's already on antibiotics (she's had a bit of a cough) so hopefully that will help. In other news, I finally convinced my parents that a cage at least twice the size of the tiny travel cage she's been living in is absolutely essential. Hurrah! Especially with the time uni is sucking out of me. So I'll be getting her a nice big home soon and maybe another budgie to keep her company.

Hi everyone! I'm a long time lurker finally coming out of hiding. I'm 19 and I've had budgies for about ten years. I absolutely adore them! Currently, I have one budgie, Milly. She's two and loves a good head scratch. :bluebudgie: As you can see, Milly has vertical issues. :sad: (I've also got a chook, Haenne.) I'm a vet student, and it's not hard to guess what I want to do when I graduate! I'm from west Melbourne, there aren't enough avian vets out here. I've got a good three and a half years to go until then, but loving every moment I get with our feathered friends. My mates from uni can't understand why I squeal with delight every time, so I'm very excited to be joining a forum where everyone shares my enthusiasm!
