You have 4 birds , what are the others like ?? If you are worried , take them to a Vet !! , Otherwise your just Guessing. l agree with Matt. l would take them to an avian vet to get checked out.

Nobody knows for sure how budgies evolved. If you believe in evolution then you might believe they evolved from a dinosaur. If you do not believe in evolution then you might believe that God created them. It really all comes down on what you believe in.

I some times mix the lentils with the veggies and sometimes by themselves.

They wont go inside the cage and when they do and when i get near to shut the door they fly out of the cage, they arnt tame yet... taking progress. Hi everyone. l cannot believe that a month ago today. I received my beautiful Jasper Time has flew by. He is a real sweet heart and very tame. Everyday l give him either fresh veggies or rice, lentils and pasta. If l'm too slow in giving him his food. he will cling to the side of his cage closest to me, then will look at me and squawk until he gets it. When l put my hand in the cage he now will step unto my hand when l say "up." When l have him out, he usually will go and play with his balls with a bell in them for awhile. My niece is over the moon with him, She is so happy when he walks all over her. I need to get a picture of him doing that to show you guys. Here are pictures the day l got him and now. Got a bigger picture ? we are allowed pictures here of 640 by 480. Yours is 160 by 120. Actually, Ratzy, I would caution you against putting up larger pictures of yourself on the internet, even on a place as family-friendly as this forum. You are young, I would be getting your parents opinion on this. But Kaz is right, bigger pictures of birds are easier for us to see. yeah l agree with being cautious about posting a bigger picture of yourself. You just never know who is lurking out in the internet..

I'm sure he will love millet seeds soon. l had a budgie that wouldn't touch the millet for a month after l got him. l offered it to him daily. Soon he started to peck at it and eat it. Then he loved it. So do not give up, l'm sure he will come around.

Yes, he is going through a molt. The feathers that look like sticks on his head are called pin feathers. I would continue to ignore the biting. When budgies go through a molt they will usually become cranky. How have you been taming her? Have you checked out the FAQ section of the forum? How big is your cage? Do you have more then one food dish for them? The reason sparky may be pecking her, is he is showing her that he is boss.

l figure that Jasper is a recessive pied yellowface, I think he is type 1 but l'm not too sure. What confuse me is his markings on some of his feather tips, is this another type of mutation or is he a poorly marked recessive pied?
