  1. I would assume the bush budgies are housed seperately to the other budgies ?
  2. I agree with Dave

Poppy isnt recessive pied. She is an opaline cinnamon dommie pied. Fern is not olive ...he is grey green. However they are nice birds and good choices. The pairings you have put together will have to wait awhile as some of them are pretty young. How far away from your existing birds are they for quarantine ?
  4. Hey Bush Budgies You have a nice set up for your birds
  5. I agree with Nerwen
  6. No nestbox should ever be where underaged budgies are. Remove it.
  7. Fan-flippin-tastic !!!! You gotta be happy with them
  8. Budgies get moisture from their food. Believe it or not they can go a week or more without water as long as they have seed. If your budgie babies are eating seed they are fine. They may even be drinking water when you arent looking and you certainly wont see the water level drop dramatically. they must always have water accessible though. Make sure you didnt remove them too soon from their parents and be very sure they are eating.
  9. If your male is only nine months then why have you put them in a cage with a nestbox ?
  10. What illness was your budgies suffering from Osman ? Some illnesses are the same as for chickens like coccidiosis etc. A lot of bird medicines are for all kinds including chickens. The vet adjusts the dosage for the type of birds you have.
  11. I like to sheet my aviaries like that anyway as it stops mice. I have no wire going to the ground for that reason. Including sheeting the doors.
  12. This should be merged with the other topic since the photos are so bad on this one. It was confusing.
  13. and you must be seeing something we arent fromn those foggy photos cos this one Looks like a hen and you are calling it HE as a matter of fact they both look like hens and you are calling them males ?
  14. Aerosol or not.......its still down to INGREDIENTS
  15. Nubbly is our expert on here
  16. Any suggestions ? Yes.......post photos.
  17. I never mark eggs. I write the dates they are laid on a card on the box.
  18. Interesting. A lot of breeders like to see a bird in the cage in front of their eyes though. Many photos can be taken to make a bird look better than it is ( or not )

I like your new signature Maddy

As GB says your quarantine cage needs to be much further away from your aviary.......not just outside it.
  21. I would remove this hen from breeding and not breed her until she does get a brown cere, no matter how long it takes. This may indicate she has some form of a hidden health concern going on. She shouldnt be in a breeding cage anyway.
  22. There are around three pink budgie topics on the forum Dave. They arent out of hand and only one person so far believes in pink budgies. That person raised the topic again. Closing topics isnt for the fed up with it cos we've heard it all before and over and over again opinions but closing topics is for anything that gets out of hand. This isnt.
  23. We arent. Its only Squeak that still believe's there are pink budgies
  24. This was meant to be Sarcastic... We need better emoticons.............like the ones we used to have
