Jetrick's Breeding Journal
Anytime you see a dark black beak you may well see some of that darkness on the cere as well. Thats what you were seeing but it isnt a problem with the cere at all and it will fade away over a couple of weeks. Its all about melanin.

Puzzle.........cere Colour Problem
I give mine Peppermint tree branches in breeding cages. You will begin to see the chicks eating the seed once they have seed bedding, and you will see the older ones feeding the younger ones.

Worms, Worms, Worms!
No, the worming was not repeated after we got him from the breeder. I wasn't aware that there was a need to before this incident, and now I know better. There lies the problem....and most worming products say to repeat the process

Worms, Worms, Worms!
Worming once as a baby ? Worms are cyclic and you would have had to repeat the worming. Did you ?

Great to see things are moving along for you. That has to be the best aviary I have seen for a long time based on Australiana type themes. Thanks for posting updates

Perch Above Nest Box?
Hi Joel, Its preferable to have them higher but with your cage you may not be able to without cutting bars of your cage. I think you should be okay with the way you have set it up.
