  1. This is good advice. There are rogues out there and others will take advantage of someone lower down the ladder than themselves if they think they can get an advantage over you. Seriously...good advice

Correct Wrong- boys are pink when young and females are blue with a white overcast. As adults males are a solid blue or pink and females are brown or blue with the white overcast when not in breeding condition. Not quite............when young the blue with white generally doesnt appear till later at around 3-4 months. When young a females cere is mostly white
  8. Before after before after Before after
  9. She is growing now
  10. They will be 8 weeks.
  11. What a difference a few weeks makes.....one day old above to five weeks and three days old today
  12. The grey is an escape artist.........he has escaped the cage twice in the last couple of days
  13. The female would have begun to attack the chicks as they would be begging for food at a time when the dads usually feed them or show them how to eat. The females at this stage are trying for another round and dont want to know about the chicks begging for food off them, and all they want is to start the next nest. Dads are generally the chicks primary feeders from around the age of two weeks onwards. Often chicks just fledged return to the nest and the hen is not amused by this as she has had enough of them and they are now the dads responsibility not hers. Your hen has turned feral over wanting to start another nest. She has attacked any chick wanting anything from her as she was becoming focussed on another round of breeding whether she could or not. Where was the dad during all this and do you have them colony breeding at all ? Just wondering what your setup is All in all, the chicks would have been best left with their father in a cage they began in ....a breeding cage....and the mother removed. Its seems you had others in the same cage ? or not ?This would have been best........dad and his chicks, no others. Your female is angry as you have blown her plans to breed again to smithereens Best she has time out in a cage on her own till she settles down. How young ?

  15. Little "posers" here they are today Lone Dad Baby one Baby two Baby one and two Third and plucked baby she is looking good now that Dad has cared for her
  16. I think he is a dilute too
  17. Again I too would say its the mother who did this. Common for some mothers to attack the chicks at the age yours are now to get them out of the nestbox and start a possible next round.

He is a HE and is yellowface...........what colour eyes does he have ? If red he would be a yellowface white albino....also known as a creamino. If eyes are black he would be a yellowface double factor white spangle Pictures on here are allowed to be 640 by 480 :nest:
  19. Well I have a dom pied with no iris rings but that doesnt make him a recessive pied. He hasnt even got recessive pied in his immediate family. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....p;hl=iris+rings
  20. Then we would have four dogs............wont happen
  21. He cannot produce dom pieds if he is recessive. therefore since he produced a normal and dom pieds that makes him SF dom pied, as all these expectations percentages are taken over around ten clutches and the percentages arent based on one only clutch.
  22. But he is a dom pied isnt he. What did you pair him up with before when you got all the dom pied chicks ? One of the parents had to be dom pied..........he's not recessive.
