4. No. The dom pied is the mother and she is dilute dom pied. Dad is this one RIP had a good look at them yesterday
5. You have two in one cage............they bond to each other and not you. Easier to train one before adding another budgie. You may have to seperate them and train them seperately

12. No. They lay their eggs anytime they are ready to. Every bird is different. Not like chooks who lay in the mornings.
13. Thankyou for the advice CW.....especially the info about the feathers too :)Its too cold to go putting them out so they will stay in the breeding room in a kindie cage for a few months at least. Its what I do with all my babies unless they are advanced and going cage crazy. ]The Dad also was attacked and since he raised a whole family on his own he is having a well deserved breakAs to the blue feathers growing in on the top of the plucked baby\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s head, do you suppose that could be due to damaged \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"melanin production\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"? What I mean is, those feather follicles were supposed to code for grey bar coloring, but it got damaged, and now they only make blue? (Probably a question for one of our genetics experts.)Anyway, can you still show the bird that way? If it turns out to be only a few feathers, could you just pluck those, and show it? She has a few feathers like that not just a couple.top of head to back of head are blue. What beautiful chicks! Even the foster is gorgeous.
14. Little Madam decided she wouldn't eat for herself so she sat and sulked. I relieved the Dad of his duties a few days earlier. I had to crop feed her as she was so stubborn. But I think she has turned a corner. Just after I crop fed her tonight and was working in the birdroom ( washing dishes ) I caught her out of the corner of my eye eating seed. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Notice the blue feather regrowth on top of her head where she had been plucked ? other siblings foster sibling

22. Interresting discussion with a worldwide judge and greywing and dilute breeder .........member of the board of governors of the Budgerigar Association of America and serve that organization as a member of their Judges Association. I am also a member of the World Budgerigar Organization's judging panel. It has been my great honor to have been asked to judge budgerigar shows across the United States and in England, Australia and Canada

Looks great !! You must be very pleased. Its so much nicer working with the birds in the birdroom when everything is exactly where and how you want it. I went and bought my last lot of melamine today for the corner cabinets in my birdroom. Loaded the hearse up with melamine Now all I have to do is find time to make them. I, too, have to do it alone. Ken would...but he's no good at getting things straight or square or level and being like that he would waste the wood
