  1. Working out expectations and percentages for breeding pairs in a colony breeding situation is maybe expecting a little too much re fidelity of the birds in there. You may well have surprises you didnt count on
  2. More mammoth budgies mate and lots n lots of feather too. You are gonna beat the pants of anyone in your club once these babies get on a perch in a show cage

  9. David......... I just did what I said for you to do....... used the search function.....typed in ivermectin and poster..... nubbly and got this http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....p;hl=ivermectin why did you buy a product you didnt know how to use, when it can be bought aleady at usable strength at bird clubs and most vets ? anyway........Nubbly is our expert on the ivermectins so read her topic and you will have your answers
  10. If you see the egg develop dark lines or staining on the shell at some point it will indicate the chicks died before they fully developed.
  11. We have many topics on BBC forum on this. Do a search and look for articles written by Nubbly
  12. Yeah. I cannot fathom why pigeons can come in and not budgies.
  13. You will find that most of them ( 99%) at least will die before hatching as they run out of space in the egg to develop properly. Use the search function on BBC and punch in a search for twins and see what comes up. I have had successful twins once and still have one of them here. I also had two lots that died partway through developing. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....83&hl=twins http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....29&hl=twins
  14. You have not said exactly what you bought, what its called, what its for, and the strength of what you bought. How can we advise till we know more ??
  15. PAIR NINE Dominant pied opaline dark green cock to grey spangle hen four fertile eggs. First one hatched today and is INO
  16. Noone has any idea as there has been no studies done that I know of. How can you expect anyone to have this answer for you ?? It would have to come from someone who has documented the results and kept both outside aviary birds and indoor pet birds who get time out ?? If you wanted a different answer perhaps you need to reword your first question ??
  17. Sounds like you did well. Pair your recessives to normals split for recessive, also called recessive splits.
  18. We have all the tables in our mutations section under breeding expectations. Yes...you have a chance for YF greys too
  19. This website is okay http://www.budgieplace.com/colorsguide.html also this onehttp://www.officialbarrieshuttbudgerigars....rsmutations.htm Before posting links elsewhere try looking at the wealth of info already here at BBC forum Post a better picture for us to see
  20. Not necessarily. The chick could belong to the albino to split albino pair as not all their chicks will be inos.
  21. Best of luck Jack
  22. Show love to it ?? If you mean mating between eggs......this is normal and what they do.
