At Long Last!
That's good they are eating it . I feed carrot, corn, green peas, celery, spinach, parsley, apple, ... I think banana is okay. I've tried red currant (it grows next to the aviary), but they don't eat it. Today I gave them a little bit of grapes (I've taken the seeds out) By the way nice pictures

Zebra's Baby - Benjamin
Sounds pretty scary . Once Benny started screaming in a shop, so my husband took him outside and I've quickly finished the shopping and we went home :hap: . But we've learned from it - never go shopping in the afternoon, now we go early morning when Benny is still sleepy . But I'm not going to test the restaurant

Newly Laid Eggs
Good luck with the eggs. But I wouldn't put them in the water, I think some infection could get into them. You can candle them, look in the FAQ's to see how to do it http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...&artlang=en

I Feel Like Breeding Again...
I think I'll wait for a while with any other human babies And the budgies didn't even wait for me to decide if I want to breed them or not and yesterday I found an egg on the aviary floor . And they didn't want to tell me who was it . They didn't lay for ages, so I can see they are happy in their new place

Zebra's Baby - Benjamin
He even cries more when I'm looking at him , so I always have to act like he is not there when I need to do something...He is quite cheeky little boy And one day he'd scream even when I was holding him and as soon as hubby took him, he stopped , I felt horrible . And he did the same with my mum. But I hope it's just the fact I'm with him 24/7, so they are more interesting for him Denise, I've heard the boys are more like mums and girls more like dads. Maybe it's true . And I'm sure you were NOT an ugly girl !!! Maesie, I think Benny is getting spoiled I don't know what he would do with someone else, I didn't leave him to anyone yet. I want to wait till he is bigger I'm happy we got a rocker, that's the only way I can cook, shower,....

Zebra's Baby - Benjamin
I know Not anymore, he sleeps quite well most of the time and he sleeps in our bed, so it's easier to feed him at night, I don't have to get up I know he does, everybody says so :hap: , and I was hoping he'd look just like his daddy :hap: (maybe the next one will )

I Feel Like Breeding Again...
I know when Benny gets older, I'll probably be running around the house chasing him :hap: . But I'll see, I feel I should wait anyway as we are still fixing the house and some of the birds are still too young. It's not like if I don't do it now I can never do it !!! I can always wait till the kids move away and I'll need something to do so I don't get mad But at least I can have fun planing it :hap: I think I'd like to put together: Johnny (mauve spangle dominand pied male) + Sisi (lutino hen) Adam (green opaline male) + Mig (skyblue normal hen) Bambi (normal violet male) + Goofy (YF2 skyblue opaline spangle hen) Rainbow (YF2 blue opaline male) + Dozey (YF2 skyblue opaline spangle dominant pied hen) What do you think? I'm not 100% sure about the mutations, but that's what I think they are. Here are some pics. And I'm not sure if I should breed Bambi, he is one of my babies and his sister has some hormonal problem (poo gets stuck inside sometimes), do you think it can be in the genes? So the brother would carry it somehow?

I Feel Like Breeding Again...
Thanks guys I'm still not sure if I should. I'll see how things go . I'd definatelly put like 3 pairs down to breed. But one girl I want to breed is not even one year old, so I think I'll wait till next spring/summer. I'm also starting to work end of summer - I'll do home office administration , so who knows how much time I'll have I have a little question and I don't want to start whole new post about it: I have one show type male and he seems to be bullied by some of the other males. Do you think it's because he is bigger? I was thinking of getting on more show type bird, maybe they make friends and he won't be bullied anymore... What do you think?

Zebra's Baby - Benjamin

I Feel Like Breeding Again...
I told myself I will never breed, but today I was standing by the aviary and watching the pretty budgies and I felt so much like breeding some of them, having the little cute babies and waiting what color they're going to be  Some of them are paired up and look so happy together I told hubby, I feel like breeding and first he said no, but then he said I could use the old cages and turn them into breeding cages I don't know guys, should I do it or not, I'm confused

I think it's YF2 skyblue opaline pied. Or is it a clearwing? Can you show me a picture of clearwing please? Thank you

Cool Mice Trap
I didn't catch any since then, but our two pups get some mice every day . Hubby found some poison that is not dangerous to pets (he said it blows the mouse up when she eats it and it squashes all the organs and she dies ), we have to look for it, it sounds horrible, but we have a big mouse problem, so don't have a choice
