Yes (but not a lot, I have really started to like Kettlecorn) Do you enjoy eating salmon?
  3. Norm that is COOL. Can you explain how you got the Yellow Black Eyed Self for me and others, you know I love to understand the why.
  4. I agree with Neville also. I have see a couple recessives though on here that are patterned as dominant and they turned out to be recessive it was interesting, Kaz can testify on that one because they were her babies and she knew the parents.
  5. When i make mine i get a hard boiled egg, bread crumbs, bird seed, and my birds favourite veggies. You microwaves the egg shell for about 2 mins and smash that into a fine powder. You add that to mashed hard boiled egg. Sprinkle some bread crumbs over the top just enough to spread right through the mix. Add a tablespoon or two of the budgies seed mix and then mix some finely chopped veggies in as well and stir it all together. by Bea

tap water is perfectly fine, I think the chlorine affects more aquatic life them the birds, the levels of chlorine in tap water are nothing compared to a swimming pool (I know because I tested it vs our swimming pool). My grandmother's bird lived on tap water and seed for 18yrs.
  7. Hope it all went well you are in our thoughts .

Go Fish Do you like Burger King more then McDonald's?
  20. that is very true in any animal, I do believe aviary budgies that move around more should have more protein just like dogs that are very active and working. Too much protein can cause kidney damage.
  21. that is so awesome Neat, I can't wait to see what you name them and what they look like .

Regurgitation (not puked) is a better word for what he is doing which is a very common behavior. I would make sure both birds are on antibiotics personally because the 1st one was sick and the 2nd one is getting sick. I don't think it was wise of the vet not to treat your new bird but that is only my opinion. Fecal tests are not the expensive, did you ask the cost? I had it done on Merlin and it was very minimal. Now going into x-rays yes is costly. Word of advice keep them very warm and calm until everyone is up to par and do not put anything in their cage that resembles a nest because a male and a female usually will not try to have a family if the cage is set up correctly. Example, no nesting boxes, no fluffy cozies to lay in that they sell at the store etc....
