Craig she is flying to the top because she is getting away from you and letting her just go and fly without any training you are enabling the fear of you. She is probably pacing the cage because she knows you will get her out so she can fly up there. Have you thought about taming her down first with getting her wings clipped? (just an option) but there are many pros to it for a one time clip and I bet a lot of this behavior will stop. Read through the taming article in the FAQ's I wrote up I talk about how I worked with Pretty and tamed him, he was from a pet shop and was hard to tame and stubborn.

Well dropping off dinner is easy I think therefore everyone can get fed and you don't have to stay at the home or anything . That is me though and I would have LOVED that. I don't know the personality of this person so saying what to get her is hard lol...for me I am not into lotions and fragrances and didn't have time to take a long shower or bath . A gift certifcate of some sort?

Oh what a bummer, but that is good that quill mites can be treated fairly easy.

MB is right food is awesome and his favorite toy when he is only out with you, if your cage is smaller and mobile have him by you at all times and talk to them. It took Pretty up to 6 months to show any interest of wanting to me with me. All budgies are individuals, have you read my taming article in the FAQ's?

I had a C-section, and I think the best thing you can do for a mom is not when she is in the hospital but about 3-4 days later, bring over dinner (bought or made), ask if she needs any laundry done or light cleaning, gifts don't always come in clothes and toys but the things that you can do to make it easier. The first week is the toughest because that is when you hurt the most after that it gets better.

I say full body because the body doesn't look 50% diluted, the dullness comes from the grey and the green mixed together. That is my theory.
