Posted October 13, 200519 yr I have another aviary in mind. Saw it at a hardware place and have just the place for it. What do you think?
October 13, 200519 yr Looks good to me, run off and get it will you, and fill it up with lots and lots of budgies!!
October 13, 200519 yr is it me or do most aviarys here dont seem to have safety doors or am i just missing something
October 13, 200519 yr Hath I know where I live it's so expensive for that second door, and most that you see only have one door.
October 13, 200519 yr their is one like that on ebay i think it was in sydney oth looks great too shell
October 13, 200519 yr I've seen that advertised before. It's a nice one, I would try to work in a double door, even if you have to build it yourself as an attachment to it. But that is me who would freak about my birds getting out.
October 14, 200519 yr Author Brand = Spanbilt <- link to site. About $670 au Kit Form from Bunnings. They have some great ideas in Aviaries. :fear No Hath 99% of the aviaries I have found don't seem to have the safety doors. I'll be adding one for this.
October 14, 200519 yr A lot of people get those streamer things that hang in takeaway shops and hang them over their aviary door as an extra layer. Also a sheet of material or plastic can come in handy. :fear

I in fact pick up the calalog every time I go to bunnings (which is maybe twice a a year :fear) I was interesting in the bottom one this time for $500. But no where to put it Then there is the fact that a 30 merter roll of mesh os only $100.

December 26, 200519 yr oh old topic Sorry I never got back to answer this, it was the small square bird wire, from in think 1/4 size to 1/2 If I remember correctly now. It's at bunnings that I saw it, just head down to the wire area (for me that is outside at the back of the plants) and they are all together there. I have an urging of late to get my outside avary built, i think becuase i have talked bout it for i think almost a year or so now and I'm just itching to get some more birdies. Which means I need the room. That's how I found this again, been looking for topics on building them, what is best on the ground the easest to clean and keep clean. all of that jazz. I wish I could convert the shed i have out the back it's in the perfect spot and all but i can't so i have to settle for building next to it.)
December 26, 200519 yr Author Well I have 3 weeks holidays coming up in the new year and a conversion is on my list. I'll take some photos as I go.
December 26, 200519 yr very cool. Are you planing of adding the small one you have to the bigger one or keep it separate as maybe a baby/sale pen?
December 26, 200519 yr Author very cool. Are you planing of adding the small one you have to the bigger one or keep it separate as maybe a baby/sale pen? I am thinking of changing the shed that the main aviary on into another aviary. Expanding so to say. I'll install another shed around the side of the house and make this one in to a bird house.
December 26, 200519 yr I knew what you were planing what I meant, were yout hinking of cutting out the back of the hanging cage you already have on the shed to add it into the disign?
December 26, 200519 yr Author Yes and the empty side between the shed and the fence...um I was think of something there. There is plenty of room for another addition.
December 26, 200519 yr Author Don't forget the grass out the front, cut down the mowing lol If I can plan it right I might never mow again.
January 4, 200619 yr Don't forget the grass out the front, cut down the mowing (Laughing out loud) If I can plan it right I might never mow again. That's the way to think
