June 28, 200915 yr Pairing Rec Pies together,is not a good breeding move,if you are trying to breed for show birds.A split rec to a rec or to a normal.

June 29, 200915 yr Hi all,I am chooseing pairs for this year's season. Here are the ones I have so far: a. b. 2. a. b. on left 3. a. b. any suggestions welcome! i brought the pics down again as i dont remember what was what also i dont understand you b1 and a2 thingy as im didlexic and need picture to understand it 1 b and 2a = yf 2 skyblue normal wing markings cock x either a violet or skyviolet opaline spangle hen (picture hard to tell but i going with sky 1factor violet ) out come i wont do the the percentage of it but will do colour and typeing expected in this pairing violet sky blues and sky blues of yf2 and normal white faced spangles ,and normal hens ,cocks split opaline ,again normal or spangled pair two opaline yf2 violet hen of normal wing markings x sky blue cock of normal wing markings also so all chicks will be of yf2 and white faced chicks normal /opaline cocks of violet sky blue sky blue violet and cobalt and normal hens hope this helps the rec pies explain them selfs
July 1, 200915 yr Id leave the rec pieds together so you can get more rec pieds, like macka said its not done with show birds- but these arent show birds and you dont have a choice of 40 mates for it either. He would have realised this when he said it Pair 2 you should get greywings- hen looks light grey too, if she isnt then maybe not lol Good luck
July 2, 200915 yr Author okay here is my breeding topic for 2009: PAIRS: Rascle and Cloud Butter and Sunny 3. Sky and Lady So thats it. They are all in breeding cages now as well as the other two (pepper and Kissy) whome I am not breeding as they are the brother and sister pair. One question though about them. would it be okay to use them as a foster pair if the need arose? Well thats that, Kate
July 16, 200915 yr Author Well the news at the budgie front: all of the abouve are in cages with nest boxes and are in condition. YAY sunny (rec pied) has been going in and out quite a bit which is pleasing. Lots of greens abnd good yummy seed. fresh water and loving care. one question about the oats in the nestbox... when she kicks them out do I put them back in before she lays the eggs or what? wait... my brother just came and told me there was an egg in one of the nestboxes but it might be in pepper's the one that doesn't have a mate. oooooops!
July 16, 200915 yr one question about the oats in the nestbox... when she kicks them out do I put them back in before she lays the eggs or what? No...she is cleaning house you can sneak some back in once she add some eggs.
