Natural Light

Recommended Posts

Guest kosmo

I'm currently trying to breed 2 budgies that are currently kept in a breeding cabinet. This cabinet is kept under the house. I'm just wondering how much natural light do budgies require. My house is an old QLD type that is on stumps with battens enclosing under the house.

I've positioned them to get the eastern sun in the morning. The do get part exposure to the sunlight however I'm concerned they may not be getting all the required sunlight whilst they are under the house.

thanks :P

Kosmo, When you say you have positioned them. Do they face out to the sunlight or do you have them behind the slates. As a fellow Brisbane Boy I know what your house would look like.

Have you got them under a verandah or right under the house.

Some places in the world have brreding rooms like our old garages, were the budgies don't really get to see the sun much. They put fluorescent lights up with a grow lux or daylite tube. It simulats the sunlight.
