Hi, Here are pics of Mummy & Daddy that have 4 babies.Dad (Fonzie) is a real purple colour. Mum (Christie) is a YF2? her body colour is a mottle blue/purple/green colour.Any ideas what their 4 babies are going to be?

Mum is a Cobalt DF (double factor) Violet YF2, the dad is a normal Cobalt DF Violet.

 

You'll have 50% Cobalts, 25% Skyblues and 25% Mauves. 50% double factor Violet, 25% single factor Violet, and 25% normal. Half will be Yellowface like the mother.

Dad could be split for something so you might get some suprises. Plus, it looks like you're colony breeding the birds, so who knows what you could get.

so I should get some nice "purples"!

Colony breeding yes, but mum won't let anyone else near her.

I don't mind a few surprises, I'm not breeding for anything in particular, they just seem to have paired up nicely, except for a violet hen that has 3 boys after her & 1 boy that has 3 girls!

They are a close knit little flock that have been together for quite a while & all seem to feed each other whenever they feel like it.

Fingers crossed so far no major fights, just some little quarrels.
