My grandfather used this in his dairy barn for mice and rats during the summer when the barn cats couldn't keep up with the population. I've also seen it used in restaurants in the southwest where it doesn't freeze hard enough to kill roaches, that way they don't have to use poison. Get Rid of AntsPut small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it 'home,' can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works & you don't have the worry about pets or small children being harmed! l realize that the folks from Australia do not have easy access to corn meal but l wonder if you would be able to use some polenta instead? I have just gotten rid of some mice, but I trapped them. I've also had issues with ants and I concreted my aviary>>> no more ants. I've also used polenta which has sort of worked. Link to comment
