Posted May 7, 200619 yr Phoebe thought it would be better if I started a new topic on my new birds so here is my post. Hey all I went to a garage sale today and guess what I found.... 2 Budgies.... I felt so sorry for them, there cages I think had never been cleaned and I'm not sure if they have ever been given anything other than crappy bird seed so I just had to buy them and bring them to my happy birdy home. The yellow one is a big bitter as you can see but she is so sweet, the other is so calm and sweet. As yet I haven't thought of names for these two ladies so if you have any suggestions Oh I also joined the local bird club, I'm so excited cause I didn't know we even had a local bird club. Cheers for now Edited August 27, 200816 yr by **Liv**
May 7, 200619 yr Well done you. It's horrible to think where they could have ended up just being sold to any kind of home at a garage sale like that! At least you found them and they'll have a loving, responsible home now. They're both beautiful too! I especially like the yellow one, but I always have a soft-spot for beautiful greens. How about Jasmine for the yellow one, and Eden for the green? Edited May 7, 200619 yr by Janette

May 7, 200619 yr how wonderful they are gorgeous - some people well don't think - it was meant for you to come around. Since they are both females Diamond for the one with the white cheeks spots because it reminds me of diamonds. Emerald - since you got them in the month of May that is the birthstone and she is a gorgeous green. Whichever you chose or decide on it will be great Again, hats off to you and congrats.
May 7, 200619 yr They are beautiful. The first one looks like a beautiful golden face. I have a male the same colour. And the yellow one is lovely to. Is she a spangle or recessive pied? I like Lovey's name suggestions or Emerald and Diamond. The Emerald is especially fitting and she could go with Emmy for short.

Slightly but I thought greens didn't have any of the yellowface/goldenface stuff because their base colour is yellow anyway. Does that only apply to yellowfaces and not goldenfaces?
May 8, 200619 yr I was made to believe that too one time when I said a yellow face green (Laughing out loud) and realized but then I was learning. So I am not sure.
May 8, 200619 yr Emerald and Diamond it is both very fitting names for my new girls. Just one more to name now, he is blue and white and he is Emeralds mate, thought of maybe "Sapphire" or Sappy for short but it just doesn't seem fitting for a "boys" name..(Laughing out loud)
