there is another person giving budgies away with breeding cages in england the link is ebay budgies

 

ive emailed this person and so far he has not responded and i think he needs reminding from a few people how wrong it is to sell live animals to anybody

I always thought selling animals/birds, any livestock was not allowed on e-bay.

i've just reported it to ebay so hopefully they will take the listing off. The budgies seemed to be thrown in as an afterthought as though he didn't care where they ended up! shocking!

.....and there is a bidder too. He may still be able to sell his breeder cages etc but not the budgies.

No, it's not different, Daz. That guy should know better.

 

What makes me angry is that this is obviously someone who's got bored with his hobby and wants to get rid, as soon as possible. And he doesn't seem to give a **** how he does it. :fear Grrr...

just to let you know that the item has been removed from Ebay. thank goodness for that

it looks like its up to us to police ebay now and up to us to force them to adhere to their own rules, but thank god the advert has now been taken off, i just hope the birds have now found a good home.

the company involved has just received a long and harshly written Email from me about the welfare and conditions these pets will be subjected to,

why do these companies actively look for business in the pet world?,

have these people no conscience and how do they sleep?

 

this kind of company makes my skin crawl

I have just looked at a few of the birds available and the conditions of sale, it truly is sick, they are being sold as if it is a table and chairs and could be transported across the US and Canada, there is a real problem with this website and everyone needs to voice their concerns and email them

Urgh! There are so many LARGE parrots for sale, i garantee they are up for sale due to behavioural problems and will be shifted from home to home because the buyers won't know what they're getting into. So sad!

This is totally sick and crazy and makes it easier for people to give up their animals on a whim! (Afterthought, if these people choose this method to get rid of their unwanted pets they are not deserving of them anyhow but should consider better methods of rehousing their animals.)
