Great news! Another chick has hatched out of the clutch whose parents wouldnt feed the 1st baby(who was being hand-fed by moi,) and the parents have figured out that they actually have to feed these little creatures. I got up this morning and went straight down to have a sticky beak and it was like I'd won the lottery to see food it its crop!!! So, Karen, if you're reading this, thanks for the encouragement, I've put 'my little man' back under her, with fingers crossed they should feed him too!! I think I've done rather well to feed and nurture him this long without any disasters - miracles do happen!!!! :hap: :fear :fear

I'll be watching them VERY carefully. I know they're better off with mum, but I was getting very attached to my baby. Time will tell though!

they just melt your heart and everyone here was rooting for the little one . Take pictures when you have a chance.

Just checked on them 5 minutes ago and both their crops are full!! Its a good feeling knowing I saved the little guys life, but will keep an eagles eye on them. Dont know what possessed her to ignore her first little chick, but alls well that ends well I guess! :hap: :fear :fear
