Sorry but two of my birds are leaving me...Soon. Karen, Nerwen, you guys have first pick. They are yours for nothing :ausb:

Razzel - Dark Green Ressessive Pied Cock.

Huey - Colbalt Recessive Pied Hen. (Yes I know the photo is really Duey but I can't find a photo of his sister Huey :ausb: )

I would rather give them to you guys than to a pet store.

Huey doesn't seem to like to breed and I don't have room in the house for 5 budgies. Seem is very friendly with Razzel and I don't want to part them.

I would rather they go to someone like nerwen or Karen that can appreciate them.

aww :ausb: I already have one that isn't interested in breeding as well, not sure with the plans i have for the furture if I can house another. And I have to ask but is Razzle (Razzel) okay? His beak looks a bit pitted.

Yes Razzel is fine. That photo was taken about a month ago. He had a touch of scaley face which I treated.

It is interesting.... a club member had a hen that wouldn't breed. His son asked him what he was going to do and was told that he going to sell to a pet store. He asked his father if he could try her. His father agree, chuckling that the hen wouldn't lay. At his son's aviary, the hen had two clutches out of which, one chick won best in the Novist division. His father asked for the Hen back and tried to breed with her, but was un successful. His son now has four clutchs from the hen who has produced winners....

Some birds just don't like the surroundings. :ausb:

Bit like a corgi I had once....refused all potential mates even sitting on its behind at the crucial moment. Ended up pregnant to the woolliest, scruffiest, smelly mongrel down the street. This mongrel jumped the fence and let her out so she could spend a full day with him making babies :ausb:

I guess even animals have their attrations... Remember dogs prefer to roll in ****! What isn't attractive to us seems extra nice to them!!! :( Two star crossed lovers!!!

 I remember that now didn't remember it was him that got it. Sorry to be picky I just know sometimes it's easy to overlook problems in your own birds it it happens slowly your mind starts to tell you it's 'normal' for them.

Did you try these two together? Thinking about your story with the son and what not.

Duey and Razzel have been in a breeding cage for 3 weeks now. Haven't been in the nest box...

Big day tomorrow. Chicks being moved. Pairs being split. New comers being introduce to the breeding cages..

I'll have to be up in the morning early.

They are both great looking birds, Heuy is absolutely gorgeous.
