hello i have a male bird that is having trouble breathing and he is with a female that has just laid eggs and i wanted to know if anyone had any idea of what it could be and also should i remove him from her to give him a rest or should he be there to help the mother bird .three eggs have hatch and three to go

Troubled breathing isn't good at all. I would set up a avain vet appointment for him. The hen will cope alright with out him for that time and iff need be can continue raising the chicks alone, just give her extra fresh food and seed close to the box and watch if there is trouble with feeding the chicks in case you have to jump in and help caring for the young ones.

im going to ring the vet tomorrow .do you know what it could be?and can he die even if he is reseaving treatment

Unfortunaltely Aaron, by the time a bird shows symptoms, the illness can be quite severe, so it is possible the bird may die, but your vet will know better. Have you got anything in the cage that could upset his breathing? sawdust, wood shavings, anything like that?

he is in a breeding cage and there is only a calcium bell, feed, water,and news paper on the bottom of the cage to collect the mess it is cleaned often and so is the nest box

Sorry I can't say what might be the cause, one I'm not a vet and two because many things that arise in our pets have the same symptoms.

 

Can he still die even with treatment- yes, sometime even with all you do they still need to past over to fly free but if you don't do anything then that is a bigger possibility. The fact you are doing some as soon as you have noticed this means he has the best chance.
