My Other Budgie Is Missing His Pal Should I Get Another?

Featured Replies

I lost my lovely girl last night :angel1: she was pure white and a sweet girl although pretty bossy.. :rip:

Now my other budgie who is left on his own looks a bit lost :(

I got him when he was young to keep her company, i have a very large cage probably a parrots cage as i wanted the biggest i could afford to give them room.

I know its early days but what should i do, give him time to grieve , is introducing another budgie the best way to go or would he only fight with it.. :bluebudgie:

They were together for around 5 years .probably more but i lost count... :ausb: .

Thanks

jane

This choice is up to you and what you think is best for your bird. Just remember to Quarantine the new bird for a month to be sure she or he is healthy. Is he tame? If so you can spend some more time with him now and after around a week the bond the two birds had would be broken. If you enjoyed watching two birds playing together and thing he would be better with a new friend then by all means head out and find another little angel.
