Can't wait to hear what the experts say this combo would produce. I'm going to guess that you would get all Spangles for sure unless your hen is split for spangle, then you would get more double factors??? I think some (maybe all) would be pied spangles???

oh oh oh, i know....

very pretty babies! :-)

;)

Birds can't be split for spangle it's a dominant gene.

50% sf green spangles

50% green dominant pied spangles

Unless your hen is split for blue then you could get some yellowface blues as well.

Arent double factor spangles white?..not yellow? And i dont see an iris ring on him....

I think Nerwen is correct on this one ;)

Kirby :D

Forgot about that. Thanks Nerwen.

Kirby :hap:

the color a DF spangle turns out to be is desided by it's base color, a green DF spangle will be yellow, a blue DF spangle will be white.

and I assume the birds in question are both relatively young as I dont see an iris ring on the hen either.

(not till next year)

As stated from the first post ;)

a green DF spangle will be yellow, a blue DF spangle will be white.

That's right and a yellowface DF spangle will be a cream colour or patchy yellow and white. Like a creamino with out the red eyes.

Thank you all for the quick answers, i wont be breeding them until they are at least a year old

and they are both youngsters at the moment.

im truly impressed by the knowledge you all have

again thanks

jason
