Boris + Full Moon = Crazy!

Boris went absolutely ballistic this week during the full moon, she was even less obedient than usual! I was off work Wednesday & she was the worst I have ever experienced her!

She refused to come when I called her, she broke one of my mum's Temple Dogs (super glue comes in handy!). She got into everything, hung off everything!!1 She was driving me nuts so I caught her after she led me on a merry chase around the house for nearly 10 minutes (took me an hour to recover! :) ).

She is much better now thank goodness!

Last night she was on my shoulder trying to eat my glasses, after I had enough of that I said "Boris go home & eat". You know what? She did!! Not straight away but 45 seconds after I told her to she was inside having a feed.

Anyone else find their birds go crazy on Full Moons?

Maybe she was just acting out because you went back to work and 'abandoned' her? :)

So THAT's why Blink is being extra ratty the past week! :D He's been unbearable, waaay to cheeky, never going in his cage when i need him too. :)

It gets a bit much when you a having a friendly chortle with her & she suddenly bows down in front of you!:(

At least it's not as bad as her grandfather who used to mate with his perch about 25% of the time & got worse when visitors came over! :hap:

:(Laughing out loud): well you can tell people that is her newest trick.

;) I have no doubt the full moon is making her act up, my first cockatiel, Cricket did. And many years ago, I worked in a large bus depot selling tickets and you could tell it was full moon without even looking at the calendar! Doctors and nurses working in emergency departments will substantiate that as well. The good news is that things will soon be back to normal. ;)
