Posted April 13, 200619 yr thought id post a few pictures of my pond now i have it kinnda installed.. Its high off the ground so the lizard doesn't get into it and there is wire covering the top of the water to stop any budgies getting in and drowning.. I've put it into the new little extension i made onto the side of the aviary and i plan on partially enclosing this area soon with tin sheeting. Not sure if you can see them but i have a few perch swimming about in there, My mum has given me some more pond weed to add to it too.. Thought id add this picture too of one of the perch/toys i made for the Budgies. Its just small skittles wired together and the baby budgies LOVE playing on them Cheers  Una

April 13, 200619 yr Author Ooohh....is that a jack russell i see running past in the last picture?? Do the budgies bathe under the fountain? Yeah Bea he is but hes not mine I'm just puppy sitting him while his daddys gone on holidays for the easter break. I have two dogs, one of which is a jack russell cross maltese terrier named Bean.. My daughter reckons she has dinosaur teeth though as they always tend to stick out My other dog is a little Chiwawa, his name is Arnold And Nope, the birds haven't even gone near the pond yet, I figure its probably because its in the section of the aviary that they don't really venture into yet (Laughing out loud) :(Laughing out loud): Edited April 13, 200619 yr by una
April 13, 200619 yr looks fanastic - I see that trampoline in the back - we have one with the sides on it.
April 13, 200619 yr Author The trampoline is so big that i can lay on it stretched out and still be a good 5 inches or more each side from the sides of the mat and im 5'11 we wanted to make sure that WE (me and my husband) could jump on it too..
April 13, 200619 yr Author When we first got it, after we had dropped the girls off to school in the mornings we would race back home and try and beat each other onto the tramp The neighbours must think we are NUTS
April 13, 200619 yr Author they are nice and cheap, colourful and the wire pushed through them really easy which was a nice bonus, its a chore trying to come up with ideas for toys to keep the little ones in the aviary happy, they are just so playful
April 13, 200619 yr How splended Una!!!..... I am soooo jelious of the set up!..grrrrr!...(Laughing out loud) What about making a 'tree swing'? Get loooong branches, like 5-7feet long, and tie them all together like 1-2 feet apart...So its a huuge, long, nice, natural, swing perch(es) for them!..... I bet they would love to swing on it, play on it, play with the rope you would need to hang it, and you could hang millet, or other cool 'chewables' onto it! Kirby
April 13, 200619 yr Author Kirby I haev a HUGE piece of driftwood in there ties up with sisal rope, because its drift wood its really light and they can and do swing on it easliy, the end still has the twisted roots on it (its a mangrove) and the birds love sitting on these bits to swing
