If you're:

1. Strange like me and collect your budgies feathers

2. Looking for something to do with the collected feathers

then perhaps you could try something like this. It used up most of the Blinkie feathers i've been collecting since Blinkie's first moult. :D

At least Blinkie thinks i did a good job! (he was flirting with it!)

Put to good use! :D

I made it with 2 bits of thick art paper (one for the feathers to be taped to and the other to make the back look neat), lots of feathes, lots of tape and a head shot of Blinkie. I taped the feathers in rows because after trying a few methods on little bits of paper i found that tape did the least damage to the feathers and left them looking smooth and beautiful. Glue made them go all scruffy and it was too messy.

that is cool Bea - very creative

Side note: uhmm Blinks flirts with everything :(Laughing out loud):

Just thought i'd point out that the two middle long feathers are recent tail feathers and then the next ones out are his baby tail feathers. The end of them is stuck at exactly the same place so the difference in length is accurate! :P Isn't it cute that he used to have weeny tail feathers. :)

What a fabulous idea and it looks great Bea :)
