This morning when i had Blinkie and Ozzie out for play time i noticed that Blinkie wasn't pooping properly, he was just doing the white bit, and he wasn't terribly interested in playing with Ozzie. He just wanted to sit on my shoulder or finger and doze. So obviously we rang the vets and he's booked in for 4:40pm today. Hope my little guy's alright, i think he might have the same problem Ozzie had. He's back in his cage now and, of course, is eating, playing, chirping, etc.

Oh no, I have Phoebe (my lovie) booked in for tomorrow as well as she has started having diarrhea for the last 5 days and I have had her for almost 1 1/2 years with normal poops and no change in diet or environment, may we both fare well with our vet visits.

Thanks Lin, maybe I am over reacting but my lovebird site thinks my Phoebes has to go in as well as she has never had this problem before, as my previous dog vet said, better to overreact than to underreact before it is too late. May the Blinks check out fine as well!

Blinkie's behaving pretty normally now. Since i went to school he's done one really runny bad looking poop but also several normal ones.

 

I hope Phoebe goes well at the vets tomorrow.

Thanks Bea, hope the Blinks makes out okay, this is really weird for my Phoebs to have her bowels so off kilter (oh no, now I am sounding like my Mother!).

FIngers crossed Bea. It's kinda odd that he is doign this now just after your have put them together. It might be just down to stress?? I hope so.

Hope all goes well for both of them... Let us know what the vets find?

Blinkie doesn't like the vet. First he got called fat and that was while his feathers were being ruffled by the vet. As Blinkie has gone back to healthy mode the vet said that perhaps he was having trouble digesting something this morning and to just keep an eye on him and go back if it happens again. Dad's happy cause we weren't charged.

Oh thank GOSH, I just logged in to see Blinks sick (don't like to see that) - I love your new siggy!!

What was even funnier was at the exact time the vet said "he's a fat little budgie!" Blinkie did one of his pissed off chirps! :(Laughing out loud): I started laughing, it was so cute! He was singing to everyone in the waiting room before we saw the vet too. Yelling out 'kissy' and....yep, FARTING! :fear

He's lucky Lord Blinks didn't poop on him, saying rude 3 letter words like that :hap:

I can see Blinks singing and farting in the waiting room, vet waiting rooms are kind of sad places as most of the people there have a sick animal. However, there is always some sort of camraderie that develops almongst the group and somebody gets everybody smiling when their pet does something. Have to wait another 5 hours for Phoebes appointment today. Aside from her diarrhea, she is in fine shape, gave her her meds at another end of the house so I could run back before her to change her cage paper (she has cage aggression) but she beat me on the 30 yard dash down the hall. :hap:

Was so pleased to hear that Blinkie is doing okay now. What I want to know though... do bugies really fart (Laughing out loud) or was that a joke..... ? My hubby reckons ours does, but is he just covering up for himself... hmmmm!

When i say Blinkie farts i mean he mimics a fart sound....LOUDLY! It's his clearest sound sadly. But i do believe there is an old post in either Budgie Talk or Budgie Behaviour about farting budgies....can't quite remember what the replies said. I'm sure if you just searched fart the post would come up. :dbb1:
