Posted April 7, 200619 yr Sherbie, who is now in an avery, is looking like she'll pair with a light green opaline male. She is a yellow-face blue recessive pied, cinammon-wing dilute. What sort of babies do you think they'd have? Is it possible that a baby could get dad's couloring but mum's recessive-pied gene?
April 7, 200619 yr Yes it is possible, if he is split for the pied gene. There isn't a way to tell that just looking at the bird though so it's pot luck. If he isn't split for blue then all the babies will be green. The females of this pairing will be opaline.
