Help Once Again!

We have had frankie for a little over a month and he has been sort of panting for the entire time we have had him. I never thought of it to be harming him I thought he ws just scared, but I just want to make sure because of my "luck" lately. I am so worried!!! He does it alot, when he's out of the cage and when he is near us. I haven't seen it affect him muchas far as activity or anything goes.

Here is a video of him doing the panting. Its usually not that heavy but we were outside while he decided to do a few laps around the back porch and it is a rather warm humid day here in centeral florida. He doesn't seem to do it while he is in the cage much only when my mom and I are in fromt of him and/or if he is out among the other birds. I really hope he is okay.

Please reply I am so worried!!!!:D

I would say no that is not normal panting, and take him to the vet. With the clicking of the beak, and the rapid breathing and it not slowing down, I would be worried.

I would have frankie checked out too. My 2 newbies pant every time i go near the quarantine cage, but they are afraid of their own shadows, (Laughing out loud). This is not the same thing.

The only time I have ever seen my budgies pant like that is when they got really hot in the 37 degrees

( celsius ) heat we had here. Even new budgies and scared babies don't do that. I guess it's time for the vet. :)

:ausb: Best get Frankie get checked out. The only time I have seen my budgies do that is when they are stressed out and then they finally stop so it is not a concern anymore. Frankie needs a thorough evalutaion, good luck Frankie, you pretty little guy! :)

How's Frankie doing? Any luck organising a vet trip for him?

:glare: How is Frankie?

Thanks everyone!!! Well, I have put Kiwi, yes I know it changed again, in my bedroom with me and only me. He has actually stopped. I think that he is just a very anxious, and easily stressed out birds. Over the last few days he has been doing great. I have supervised him with the other birds and he starts the breathing when they get in "his" space like he is nervous of them being near him. When he is out by him self he is doing great!! He still gets to be with the other but only for a supervised amount of time. Once his breathing starts to act up its time to go back to his cage so he can relax. I am still working on the vet trip but its amazing, i haven't seen him do this since the new living arrangements were made. I have been working with my dad at a golf tourneiment so I haven't had a chance. I'll let you know what happens there though!! But, as for now he is doing atleast 10 times better than he was!! thanks for all of your help once again!! I thought you would want an update.
