Posted April 3, 200619 yr l have been trying to train my budgies know for 3 weeks now , l take Hobbes in the bathroom with me for a short time , he will sit on my finger and today he climbed up my arm and perched on my shoulder l was wondering what does it mean when he does that (sorry lf it is a silly question)? Also , l have been trying to do the same with Clarie but l find she is timid and is scared when l try to get her out of her cage she tries to get away all the time so l haven't been able to get her to the bathroom because l don't want to scare her or stress her out ( l have been using millet seeds with her , she will come on my finger but as soon as l move my hand she flies away). Any suggestion will be gratefully appreciated .
April 3, 200619 yr Perching on your shoulder means you are doing a great job and he is feeling much more comfortable with you, keep up the good work. Can you put the cage in the bathroom, and then let her out and work with her?
April 7, 200619 yr Author l was able to get my cage in the bathroom Clarie is shy so l'm training her slowly , l'm letting her get use to my hand so she isn't terrified with my big hand. :ausb: when l train Hobbes he is trusting me more but l find when l put him back in the cage with Claire she gets very aggressive toward's him she won't let him go on any perches (it takes her a few hours to calm down and usually she isn't like that they are pals most of the time ) , is that because she is jealous?
