Help Identifying My Birds

Featured Replies

Posted

Hi Everyone,

I know I have posted my birds before individually before for identification. But I've received some conflicting information. So... I want to try again. Sometimes the more I hear and read the more confused I get. I need clarification on colours and type. Thanks so much!

Tweety

Is she just a dilute or a greywing?

Sylvester

Beka

Greywing? Clearwing? Dilute? Cinnamon? (She gets the brown tinge with a flash) - none in second picture.

Daffodil

Green or Olive? Goldenface?

Tazzy

Violet? Cobalt?

Puddin (Bottom) and Star (Top)

Star - YF1 or 2?

I think most of these were taken without a flash so colour should be close. Thanks so much!!!!!

Tweety- I think dilute. (did we think she was opaline too?)

Sylvester- I would say goldenface.

Wylie- yellowface type 1 and not a cinnamon.

Beka- is that her normal colour? If so I would think greywing.

Daffodil- dark green, Meaning she has one dark factor.

Tazzy- I say violet

Star-yellow face type 2

Thanks Nerwen. There are 4 opalines - Tweety, Star, Daffodil, and Puddin.

And to confirm??

Tweety is ?sky? blue

Daffodil is a pied - can't remember if it is australian or dutch with her clearflights and pied spot? She does have what looks like some blue tinges of colour around her legs and vent.

Tazzy is a recessive pied?

And why the difference in yf between star and wylie. To me the blue looks like turquoise in both of them?

Not trying to be difficult with these questions - just trying to understand. Thanks again!

Tweety is ?sky? blue yes

Tazzy is a recessive pied? yes

To me Wylie look blue reather than the turquoise look of Star.

In that second picture of Beka makes her look clearwing.

Thanks a lot!!! When Star is out of quarantine I'll get a picture of her and Wylie together. And I think you may be right about the clearwing for Beka. I just don't seen a hint of grey on her. And she seems too bright in colour to be a dilute. I'll get pics of her and my two dilutes when she is out of quarantine. Thanks again :D

ya, i noticed that about star out of quaranteen! (sp?) :D

So you put the 4 older birds together now? Puddin, Star, Daffy, and Beka? Do you have any more recent pics?... :D:

Kirby :)
