Sleepy Mig

:D It use to be a topic that was raised quite a lot in here but i haven't seen it come up lately.. Budgies in those little sleeping triangle thingys... I bought one ages ago for Apple and he HATED it and Munch never took to it either.

A few days ago I was ALLOWED :P to bring Mig inside with Apple and Munchy.. I had him in a separate cage for quarantine but later discovered the other half sitting on the sofa with ALL THREE BIRDS on him :yelling: ..

ANYWAYYYYYYYY mig is such a little snuggle bum and always wanting cuddles but i don't always have the time so i thought id see how he would like the little fluffy triangle

Now Una, you just need to stop teasing me with him...first I couldn't figure out his mutation for days, and then you wouldn't send him my way and now you are posting pictures of his highness...OMG you are killing me :(.

Fanastic picture, I remember asking about the snuggle hut when I first started, Lin said I believe her lorikeet loves it.

:( Oh Lovey he has the most sweetest little nature too.. he is soooooo much like Apple its amazing.. So gentle and doesn't have a care in the world, he managed to wrap my hubby about his wing so easy too..

are you going to keep his as another buddy for Munch and Apple??

I don't think I could resist if he was that sweet :(

Awww how cute is that! My orphans have never used theirs, but the lorikeet adores hers!

OMG how sweet! That is the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life :(:P

awesome, then we can expect Apple to say Whatcha doin Mig (Laughing out loud)

:ausb: Mig is just so darling! Have purchased three of those happy huts or variety thereof over the last few years, nobody, any species likes them at all, even the lovebirds who like to burrow under paper and towels, don't care for them. Have given two of them to a fellower rescuer who claims her finches really like them a lot. Glad Mig finds them appealing. :dbb1:

We have one of those at our house, no one likes it too much but it is still available for use if they need it. Those pictures are soo cute, thanks for sharing.

Hi

That is the cutest photo ever! Mig looks sooo cozy and comfy in there. I've never seen one of them before, Kylie sleeps like that on the curtains in the afternoons.

:) Yeah lil Miggy is inside now although i thought id lost him yesterday :D ..

I had him separated from Apple and Munchy in a smaller cage for the comfort factor for him but during a period of a few hours when i was out yesterday, he had somehow managed to get his head stuck through the wire (yes it is a budgie cage with small gaps) and then he managed to get his wings stuck oh both sides of him through the wire as well so i found him hanging by the neck with his back against the wire with feet just hanging, pinned down by his stuck wings :P

I got him out fairly quickly and he didn't do any obvious damage to himself although i thought he wasn't going to make it from shock. I gave him some probiotics in his water and dropper fed him this, the poor lil mite was sooooooo thirsty. Hes doing great today but id imagine he would still have a sore neck.

Cheers

;) my poor Miggy....I am so glad he is okay

How scary for you, and for him. My goodness. How old is he? Are baby budgies heads that much smaller?

I'm thinking mig must be between 6 and 8 weeks old.. I've lost track so not 100% sure, his head doesn't appear all that much smaller than Apples and i think it was more sheer determination that he was going to get out of his cage that did it..

He is doing really great now and has my mum twisted about his lil foot, she comes over just for snuggles with him while she tells Apple and Munchy storys  Mig lays flat out like a pancake on our chests and falls to sleep with a good ol back rub.. he is such a baby

I have pictures of the Trio and their Grandma that i will post a little later on..

Cheers
