Posted March 20, 200619 yr He's one year old, he's a rescue bird and I have only had him since yesterday. He's sitting on my shoulder at the computer and has said "Hi Buddy" once to me but otherwise clammed up and is kind of nervous which is understandable. He apparently says "Hi Sweetheart" and some other stuff but I guess that is for me to discover, think he will be a great bird! He is quite small as well and even though his wings are somewhat clipped , he can fly very well.
March 20, 200619 yr that is cool that he is already nice and tame for you, and he talked!! Congrats, the little guy is lucky to have you.
March 20, 200619 yr And Comet is now instructing him on the fine art of "bugging" Happy and Monty in the next cage. Yes, I am very happy he is coming along so well, the girls seem to be doing okay, no eggs, and I hope to have them out of my bedroom and joining the flock next weekend. Have those old shag carpets from the 70's in my bedroom and they are madly throwing seeds everywhere despite the newspaper. :ausb: And Buddy is a prime example of people not thinking ahead and poor Buddy and a lovebird didn't fit in with their lifestyle anymore, people need to really think if they can handle a pet. Was buying some pellets today and a mother and daughter were buying a guinea pig and I could tell (although I pray I am wrong) that the guinea pig was just a novelty and interest will be lost very soon. (And Lovey, I am at fault for showing the new budgie toys to my tiel yesterday, no wonder she wanted them after me teasing her, bought some more toys today for the girls) Edited March 20, 200619 yr by Phoebe
