Posted March 17, 200619 yr For those who read my posts awhile ago about Pretty not playing and being so docile. Well he still is but he is now starting to like his plastic balls, he started bobbing at the ones hanging in his cage and picking them with his beak gently. So I had 2 more but them on his play gym and 2 days ago he picked one up and threw it over the side. I put it back and he did it again...whooo progress. So I decide to get a pictures since noone believes me (Laughing out loud), but my daughter who is home with me. They are blurred a bit because every time I got the camera he would stop and look at me Now granted he only does it like 3x times so if you don't get it in the beginning forget it (Laughing out loud), he certainly will not perform. I hope this is the start of him showing his playful personality a little more. I must defend my play gym off you go... Did I do that?? though blurry you can get the expression of wow what happened (Laughing out loud)

March 17, 200619 yr Author oh no Phoebe that is why I have my 5 yr old daughter around Seriously you have no idea how thrilled I am, I figured he would be a couch birdie for the rest of his life. I am very glad I held off on a 2nd bird, and will do so as long as I can hold out, it is hard. He is really starting to bond with us more and more, little by little.

March 18, 200619 yr If I had a dollar for every one of those little plastic balls I have picked up over the years, I would be a very rich woman. Tired of it, of course, but will keep it up for their sakes. On top of that, my late dog, had about 8 tennis balls that he would haul out of his toy box everyday and throw up and down the stairs, moan until you fetched, stuff under the bed and other furniture, throw over the patio and just like the birds, an amazed look about it all! I should be in fantastic shape from all these years of fetching balls but I'm not! :sad:
March 18, 200619 yr Author too funny Phoebe, what type of dog? My won't fetch for nothing but then they are not breed to anyways (Laughing out loud). He refused to play with the balls today. This stinker is VERY independent, does what he wants to do.
March 18, 200619 yr :sad: That's very strange that Pretty doesn't want to play ball again today, maybe tomorrow as he was obviously enjoying himself yesterday. A 4.5 lb Yorkshire Terrier and nobody knows how he even got them in his mouth! He would play ball 24/7 if he could, sometime in total darkness!! (Up until the last year of his life, he was put down days short of his 15th birthday). I guess that is why some of the birds are now galavanting all over the floor!! Freedom!!
