Lexi Trying To Avoid Trouble

Featured Replies

I thought this was too funny. I just got a flight suit in the mail today, and tried it on Lexi... she didn't like it. In an effort to take it off, she didn't see her predator sneaking up on her... can you see Ninja in the background?

So has anyone had any luck with these suits on their parakeets? I tried it on two of them, and they didn't like it at all!

Awww, what a sweetie! She looks very determined to get rid of it! :fear Tell her from me that yellow looks GREAT on her and she'll attract all the hot male birdies if she keeps it on. :rip:

I can see ninjas glowing eyes! great picture. :P

I have read that breeders when they are still in the nest (not sure what age - and it was with the bigger birds) will start them with flight suits very young. They sell them as flight suit trained. I thought that was very interesting and probably something you would want to look into since you said you wanted to breed budgies, introducing them at a very early age is best. You would train them with the flight suit as you do any training.

:D:D:wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub: omg omg she looks so CUTE! i am going to get one( flight suit)! for my hand reared budgie to be(when i get babies i will be hand rearing 1) :D

Are flight suits like a suit attached to a leash so they dont fly away?...Or are they used to prevent breeding? Since you are all talking about breeding...???...(Laughing out loud)

The flight suits serve a couple purposes. They serve as a bird diaper, so the birds aren't making a mess all over your house. They can also serve as a costume, or even a "leash" so the bird can't fly off. You can look into them more here.

Here's a picture of us putting one on my cockatoo... and well, showing how it kept the poop off of us. :D

:D Saw the picture, guess you would have to start it when then are young so they get accustomed to it so they don't get all stressed out about it all. Lexi, you ate cute!! :D

vrey cute  I would just keep traing with her. Putting it on fr short amounts of time and mabye give a good treat while she wears it so she conencts it to a good thing.
