March 9, 200619 yr absolutely gorgeous aviary!! You are going to have a lot of fun and work ahead of you for sure, but the joy you will get from them will be worth it.
March 9, 200619 yr WOW I really love your aviaries !!! Did you built them? Or did you hire someone to do it? I would love to get an aviary like this, when I have the space for it
March 9, 200619 yr WOW I really love your aviaries !!! Did you built them? Or did you hire someone to do it? I would love to get an aviary like this, when I have the space for it Since she is on the move (Laughing out loud), I can answer that they came with her new house they moved into
March 9, 200619 yr Author Yes...the previous owner of the house we just bought built these aviaries for his wife who wanted to keep birds but not in small cages. He has done a brilliant job as he has with everything in the house we have bought. Very professional with triple doors so no escapes and also a feeding preparation room before you enter the aviaries, fully reticulated with water sprinklers, low voltage lights through the night and all kinds of play gym gear to roost on. We have very happy budgies !!
March 9, 200619 yr It looks absolutely amazing! I bet you spend a lot of time sitting outside with a coffee, just listening and watching!
March 9, 200619 yr Author You have ESP Lin !! We have three great places to sit and watch the birdies with either a coffee or a drink in the evening or at anytime really
March 10, 200619 yr The aviaries are simply amazing. Oh I wish I lived in Australia, or some warm climate where I could have outside facilites for my birds. We are a two weeks from spring here. There is still some snow on the ground. Wonderful!
March 10, 200619 yr Author I don't think I would ever go in the house I spend most of my time out near the birds and go in after dark Also have just bought another five budgies from my favourite breeder and named one after you. Photos to follow
March 10, 200619 yr :hap: Oh WOW.. Simply beautiful.. I'm now ALMOST inspired to go and do some extensions in my aviary Id never leave the aviary though if it was mine, and id ensure that i had a coffee machine in the food preparation area Look forward to seeing HEAPS more photos of both the aviarys and the happy birdies.. Cheers  Una

March 11, 200619 yr Author Oh my, the aviaries are looking a lot bigger and better with the new pics!! it's truely an amazing set up there. You lucky to have found this house. I fell in love with this house when I saw it on the internet real estate site. Insisted on a viewing before Christmas before it ever went for its first "home open" day .....loved it !!.....It took Ken a second look ( as his house was HUGE and he found anything smaller felt cramped ) but then he said "where do I sign?" ....then we sold his house and now we have to sell my house too. At the end we will have no mortgage and that will be a great feeling
March 11, 200619 yr It was all because of the aviary wasn't it... that's why you fell in love with it... hehehe.
March 11, 200619 yr Author That was a good part of it for sure. But the gardens were sorta feng shui styled and peaceful.....lots of garden areas to be in and feel different...like rooms in the garden. Plus a big workshop for my leadlight work. A brand new kitchen with new stainless oven and Miele dishwasher, new laundry......beautiful tiles on floor through family areas. Granted only 3 smallish bedrooms and small bathroom, but living areas make up for that. Everything well maintained and fully equipped. Previous owners had done everything. Ken hates the dark bricks and wants to render. We feel so at peace here.
March 11, 200619 yr Can I come over too.....I can say its a business trip. We have an office in Osbourne Park..... :hap:
March 12, 200619 yr :rip: You know, I haven't had a decent vacation in years, always attending to family stuff, maybe I should just fly on over and sit in your aviary and you can mist me with water, it looks so very appealing! :(Laughing out loud):
