Posted August 6, 200420 yr hi, is it crewl to breed budgies and let them out in the wild? i'm thinking of doing this but am not sure if it will be good for them we in UK London have the crappyest weather so am unsure if the birds will be able to survive. i like to bring nature to nature. Bhups
August 6, 200420 yr DON"T LET THEM GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! *faints* Budgies can not live 'wild' in the UK!!! They would die from cold in winter and the fact that they wouldn't have the skills to live wild.
August 6, 200420 yr oki... bad idea not sure wat to do if i was to start breeding budgies... letting them go was my best idea ahh well.. still a novies at taking care of 1 budgie so i have more time to think of other reasons. Bhups
August 6, 200420 yr (Laughing out loud).. no probs.. deffinatly will not do that! B Edited August 6, 200420 yr by Bhups
August 7, 200420 yr budgies would not die of the cold in winter oh well i just thought since it is soo much colder in England than Aussie, but then the budgies over there a bit different. The end is the same they still die.
September 12, 200420 yr The only thing you'd be doing is torturing the poor budgies that you let go - no food, no water, no hospitable living conditions, they'd be cold, nowhere to live, and the other birds/predators would attack and kill and eat them. If you're set on breeding budgies, you could sell some of them to responsible people. Or make a [warm] aviary and keep the numbers of budgies at a certain level.
