Posted March 4, 200619 yr I've checked out the Harrison's site but it doesn't seem to have a selection for anywhere but the U.S. Is there another bird food that I could buy online that's just as good? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong? I'm mighty disappointed
March 5, 200619 yr Standbyme what type of food are you looking for? You might have the basis at home and don't know it.
March 5, 200619 yr Author Standbyme what type of food are you looking for?You might have the basis at home and don't know it. I'd like to get Harrison's bird food. I know there is a place in my province that sells the food but it's not exactly close by. So i'd much rather get it shipped. The Harrison's site doesn't seem to ship to Canada so I'm looking for somewhere else that might sell it and ship it here.
March 5, 200619 yr Author What's the link to his site?So I can have a look :bluebudgie: https://www.harrisonsbirdfoods.com

March 5, 200619 yr Author i hear it's good. but... as of so far i can't purchase it. :bluebudgie: i really can't travel to where they have it. so i'll have to try and find some other kind of pellet. can you recommend another type of pellet ?
March 5, 200619 yr Not in Canada. Pellets are the best food for the budgies.. if you can aford them and get them to eat them. :bluebudgie:
March 5, 200619 yr Author I have pellets right now, but they have changed the color of the birdie's poop... and that's something that I don't like. It deters me from knowing when there's an actual problem. So I want to find something that doesn't change the excrement a whole lot and that's (preferably) organic.
March 6, 200619 yr It's normal for the poop to change color if you're switching from seeds to pellets. The poop is greener and softer, it's to be expected. What kind of pellets are you giving them?. I give mine Zeigler and there are other makes that are good too. Roudybush, Zeigler and other brands that are available in Quebec, why make your life more complicated than it has to be? I give my birds pellets but I still give them about 25% of seeds. I don't think I could live on pellets alone if I was a budgie. Considering the cost of shipping, unless you are a breeder do you think it's really worth it?

First off I love to buy online and I really don't mind it. I do it all the time for other stuff. Second, I give them seed as well, though only at night for a limited amount of time. The pellets I have just don't seem nutritious enough (by looking at the back of the package) and that's why I was really interested in Harrison's. I'm a big "organic" freak and when I heard about organic bird food, I was eager to get my hands on some. So yes, that all I suppose.
