March 8, 200619 yr Author Thanks The last is going to be super Tiny to the other if it hatches on the 18thday instead of the 17th day like the rest (which is today) I finally picked on Reepiceep Narnia fans out there should know where the name came from. I was thinking of another name but I'm going to save that for the last one if it hatches. Reep suited this one better. Edited March 8, 200619 yr by Nerwen
March 8, 200619 yr I have been away for a few days moving....but my congratulations on the successful babies !!
March 8, 200619 yr Author Thanks Budgiebird No sign of number 5...yet but it's not really due until tommorrow.
March 8, 200619 yr Author Isn't it just and I got 100% hatch rate with this clutch WOOT Number Five is named Scuttle Form the little Mermaid. One of my favourite disney movies and a small link to the sea to match with dad's name. It a bit hard to see in the picture, I didn't even see him until the second time I looked, they where all on top of him. If it helps I pointed him out for you: It was funny watching them, Squeaker ( the one with the head on top) had an itch on his head and keep trying to sratch it but couldn't get his leg up while in a group like that so kept sratching Berry. March 9, 200619 yr Author Thanks all I think they are so cute and I'm itching to pick up Squeaker, but Mum hates me even putting a finger in the box. She is happy to let me look.
March 10, 200619 yr Author I love it in the Morning when Mum rushes out to gobble up the fresh food with Marine (or before him :(Laughing out loud): ) I get to have a good look at the babies. This is Squeaker. Well at lest I think so, the white is a bit more stronger on this one compaired to the other big one Edited March 10, 200619 yr by Nerwen
March 10, 200619 yr Author That said it all I didn't want to put him back but he started to cry and I didn't want mum to hear and rush in before he got returned. Then he didn't want to let go of my finger
March 10, 200619 yr Author Yes I am. All but one if my friend does want one when they are ready. She said she did but things can change. I'm also wondering about offering one to some family members, I have cousins with two boys around the age of 10 and 8. But I don't know if they are into birds at all.
March 10, 200619 yr I really enjoyed reading your post and watching the progress of the babies. Please keep more photos coming - can't wait to see what they look like with feathers! :-)
March 10, 200619 yr You will have too see if the parents are more into the birds, you know. Because kids loss interest especially at the age. If I just lived in the same country (Laughing out loud), I would have some of Daz's, yours, Karen's (Laughing out loud) oh Budgiebirds...wow what a flock I would have :hap:.
March 10, 200619 yr Author That's what I meant Lovely Asking the parents I wouldn't even tell the kids about them. They are all animal lovers. I'm meeting up with them at easter time a few weeks before these one would be ready for a new home so I'm asking then (with some very cute pictures :(Laughing out loud): ) I held Squeaker again today but this time it was to move him out of the way so I could check Scuttle. I just wanted to be sure he had some food in his crop, Reepiceep's crop this morning was huge! Almost matched the size of his belly. Edited March 10, 200619 yr by Nerwen
March 10, 200619 yr Author :(Laughing out loud): yeah and silly me didn't take the camera with me Mum wasn't too pleased this morning she jumped in looked at me then started to tuck them all under her. It was funny too see.
March 11, 200619 yr yeah and silly me didn't take the camera with me Mum wasn't too pleased this morning she jumped in looked at me then started to tuck them all under her. It was funny too see. :hap: why was your mum jumping i to look after the chicks? Isn't that the hens job... wow nerwen your mum is good to help you like this...
March 12, 200619 yr You can see they're descended from dinosaurs when they're so teeny tiny, can't you? They're the cutest little monsters ever! I'm so very, very jealous. Congratulations on the new family! (Laughing out loud)... If only two girl birdies could have babies - I'd be so happy.
