March 13, 200619 yr Author Your welcome Kirby, it's what this place is all about. I've looked again a few time today and Reep does have buds of fluff there just not the black dots that all the others have, I wonder what that means for his colour I have also tried to get a few moment with Tootie (not saying mum this time daz ) out of the box so I could pick up Squeaker and Echo for closer pictures but she was having none of that okay okay it was buging me and so I finally tooka dive and picked up the babies in front of her, she never made a noise and only nibbled at my fingers although once I had one she tucked the others under her. Squeaker: and Echo: Can you see some colour now? Edited March 13, 200619 yr by Nerwen
March 13, 200619 yr oh nerwen you must be so proud. i loved lookng at all the photos. cant wait to see them feathering up
March 14, 200619 yr Can you see some colour now? I think I see some yellow on Squeakers wings. They're so adorable. None of these babies are going to be clearbody like Tootie are they, but the males will be split for it?
March 14, 200619 yr oh i love the lil bubs when they look like mini ET's :hap: Cant wait to see them feather up
March 14, 200619 yr Author I think I see some yellow on Squeakers wings. Thank you it mean's it's not just me. None of these babies are going to be clearbody like Tootie are they, but the males will be split for it? That's right. So I have to keep a male at least. :hap: mini ET's I haven't heard them called that before but it suits perfectly. Edited March 14, 200619 yr by Nerwen
March 14, 200619 yr Author YAY Squeaker when for his first trip today. (yes I was naughty) I took him to another room in the house (7steps sort of thing) to show him off to my aunt, she was the other that saw me candle his egg. " At lest this time it was different to, "oh how ugly" like she said when she saw his picture at hatching. She thought he was a cutie and loved the fluff. Tootie didn't seem to be too bothered by the trip, she took him back and stood proud at having 'chased' away my hand.
March 14, 200619 yr Oh, how lovely, showing off little babies. If your like me, your as proud as if you'd given birth yourself Is this the relative you think might take one?
March 14, 200619 yr Author Yes Lin I'm just like you No but the ones I'm asking are her kids. Berry lifted his head this morning when I spoke to them which was great to see that he is getting more interested in the area around him.
March 14, 200619 yr .............and so are the days of our chicks. I love reading this. Really I do. Now after seeing the chicks , I can't wait for mine to hatch... Today was the day I should have gotten two chicks.... Wished I numbered them. Candled the seven on Sunday night and I think I have 5 chicks and 2 clear Oh well hope for the morning.
March 14, 200619 yr Author .............and so are the days of our chicks. Fingers crossed Daz. For furutre info the pen i used to mark my eggs was the black marker from a pack of 12 (Artrite) that I found in Woolies. It was the only packet I found that said non toxic and water based. I keep asking Reep to tell me his colours I'm very excited to see his feathers.
March 14, 200619 yr Oh my gosh! I love these baby posts. Do you have any predictions about what your bubs will be?
March 14, 200619 yr Author I have a feeling Squeaker is going to be a normal green and I'm hoping Echo and Berry are blue normals. No clue with Reepiceep will be and Scuttle is too young to tell yet but he is getting the same colour black dots and fluff coming in as the others. Here is a picture of them all again. I relised it had been a while since you all saw th last three As you can see Reepiceep has dark marks on his wings but still none on his body. Berry looks to be coming through with white tipped wings like Echo. Edited March 15, 200619 yr by Nerwen
March 15, 200619 yr They are all so precious. I adore the pictures, and can't wait until my bundle of eggs becomes a bundle of pink. It's also amazing to see the differences between chick 1 and chick 5. (sorry, I forgot their names). Julie
March 16, 200619 yr GORGEOUS!... They are soo ugly, that they are INSANELY ADORABLE!!..(Laughing out loud). I have to agree with you on the colours....good luck with them! [ps-Ariels 1st egg is not hatching...so im pretty sure it wont, or any of them for that matter , but i was expecting this to happen since i didnt see them mate...] Kirby
