Posted February 25, 200619 yr I finally got my budgies to chomp on some egg granules that I got at the pet store. I was wondering if they are any good. They're from the bran tropican. I was wondering what the best pellets to feet are. thanks.
February 26, 200619 yr i used to buy egg mix but i dont bother with it anymore - i just feed hard boiled mashed egg with carrots or breadcrumbs instead. pellets - always go for the natural coloured ones, avoid brightly coloured ones. harrisons or zupreem are the best ones i think. they are available online.
February 26, 200619 yr i'd stay away from them, when i had a few of my budgies on them their poop just wasn't consistant, i went to the vet twice before i found out it was the food. i switched back to harrison's brand and the stuff i make at home, i found the coloured zupreme does much the same thing,

March 4, 200619 yr buy online, for me its cheaper than driving to the other side of the city to the only place in town that sells it, who's hours are 10am-3pm mon-fri.... its rediculous....

Yeah, but then I'd have to pay shipping and also there's the small problem... i don't have a credit card I'd have to bug my dad, and I doubt he'd agree to it. hehe. thanks for the suggestion though!
March 4, 200619 yr Author AH! I finally got my dad to agree! I took money out of my account to pay him back so he doesn't have to worry about getting payed back. So, I'm curious, which kind of harisson's is the best? There seems to be a variety of different types. Oh and do they only ship to the U.S.?? I live in Canada :S that would really be a bummer if they didn't. I was all ready to order! Edited March 4, 200619 yr by standbyme
March 4, 200619 yr I use high potency for breeders and lifetime for the pets; pellet size is your choice. I live in Canada too, I haven't had a problem with shipping... I buy the bigger bags, take out a week’s portion, and freeze the rest, it keeps well just make sure you seal the containers properly. Good luck!

Under the "country" pulldown menu, there's only a selection for the United States. Is there a canadian site? Maybe there's a problem with the site at the moment?
March 9, 200619 yr I tried to feed my birds Tropican but thy would not eat it. It is suppose to be good, the aviairy vets I go to here in Montreal sell it.
