Posted February 18, 200619 yr I don't know if I'm cracking up or what but I swear that my new bird Tazzy has red in her eyes. They aren't all red, but seem to be red in the centre. Does that mean she carries the ino gene? Can they be partly red? Do they change over time? Or do I just need glasses?
February 18, 200619 yr hmm that sounds odd i wonder what the perfesionals say also get a picture would be good
February 18, 200619 yr Tazzy is a recessive pied and they have a plum coloured eye, so no your not mad you are seeing it, this doesn't mean that she is carrying the ino gene. I wish it was that easy to tell (of cuase you can't tell at all what budgies are split for)
February 20, 200619 yr if you check out my poofy picture of Pretty you can see the plum in his eyes too , its normal.
