I am currently a college student and a professional body piercer. I currently have 6 tattoos and 10 piercings. My birds are my pride and joy, all 5 of them. Here are some pics of them: Petrie, my first budgie and the one that started it all. This is Ceaser, my second little budgie. Jake, baby number 3, Started the recent budgie craze. Baby number 4, Elwood. I fell in love with him and had to get him. And, Finally Houdini, baby #5. I look forward meeting everybody and their budgies and learning even more about budgies. :ausb: Edited August 27, 200816 yr by **Liv** removed broken image
February 18, 200619 yr Hello and Welcome! Your birds are lovely, but I especially like Ceaser - she is a doll! Is there a reason Houdini is named such?? :ausb:

February 18, 200619 yr Hi Melissa! Please post the pics of your wet birds for everyone here too! I'm still laughing about it!
February 18, 200619 yr Author I am glad that you guys like the pictures. To answer some peoples questions: Yes, Rainbow, Houdini got his name because within the first three days he would run from side to side of his cage and any time someone changed the food or water he would find away to escape and get free. He was really fast to when you put him back in his cage if you were not fast enough he would get out and you could go through the process again. Ceaser is a lover when she wants to be, she is such a sweet heart!! As I mentioned in the first post I had Petrie first and she is coming up on her 5th aniversery with us in June. When I went to add another bird to the house I bought a little one that I named Elvis, but I am sorry to say that he only made it 5 days at the house, that was very hard. Ceaser came next, due to the petstore I bought them at has a 7 day sickness/death warrenty thing. She has been with the family for about 4 years. Once again I got the urge to get another budgie, and added Ozzie, a green budgie that bonded only to me. He got really sick about 1 year ago and we lost him. It took me a while to add anoter to the family but then one day I decided that was the day and came home with Jake a month and a half ago. Elwood came only like a week or two later and was instantly in my heart. I went back to the store the next day hoping he was still there, well you know how that turned out. And once again I was shopping for my four birds and found Houdini, whose silly antics and hilarious personality told me I had to take him home. He has been with us for only a couple weeks. I know you are supposed to quarentine them for a month but they the three boys came here in such a short time that we worked with them all together, and only yesterday were they all introduced to each other. Sorry this is so long but I try to include Elvis and Ozzie when explaining about all of them. Hope you enjoyed hearing our story.

February 19, 200619 yr Welcome Aboard, Petrie looks very much like Pretty but female, and he is starting the budgie crave over here (Laughing out loud). February 28, 200619 yr You could try asking in the genetics section cheeky. The blue one is a male.. hard to say what the color is without a picture of the back of the wings.. maybe spangle.. or greywing. Yellow one looks like a yellowface type 2 recessive pied.. More pictures would help. Try to start a new topic in the Mutations/color varieties section. I'm not really sure on the gender from the picture. Maybe female (???)
March 16, 200619 yr very nice pics of your flock melissa, can i ask are they all tame as i gather they are in the one cage, i ask becuase i recently went out and got another budgie and had planned to hand tame him and then life went a bit crazy and ended up with no spare time on my hands for a few weeks to cut a long story short he ended up going into my Joeys cage and alas is still pretty wild , and i have noticed even though i bring Joey out of the cage he much prefers the company of his new buddy, cheers Sarah
