I've read that budgies can eat celery, but we have more kinds of celery here. Is this the one budgies can eat?

That's the one I feed to my birds. They love the leaves too

Ask them if you can have some leaves - they should have them out the back, and will probably give you some of the top half of the celery

I'll try to find smaller shop, they should be nicer . I've bought this one in a hypermarket and I don't think they do this (but I'll ask anyway)

hmmm, i've never tried celery. i know mine dont like carrot tops :-(

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't celery mostly water? And it would be better to give them dark greens.

You're not wrong, celery is mostly water and has about as much nutrition as plain lettuce. Dark colored veggies are better, nutrition-wise, but I wouldn't be adverse to giving celery at first if it gets them interested in trying veggies.

And that is why I can eat it on my diet! (sigh)

I've had to make celery leaves/celery a special treat with my budgies, they absolutely adore it!

My budgies all love celery - I've only ever fed them the stalks not the leaves though. Another huge favourite of theirs is fresh corn on the cob - they absolutely love it and eat every single kernel!

my budgies dont like celery they love winter salad though(it is very dark green)and they also love brocoli

mine like celery, but wont eat corn off the cobb!! i added the kernals to the grated carrots and shredded lettuce, they love it that way! but my crazy lot wont eat diced apple either. it has to be hanging on a holder!

My budgies like all the "watery" veggies - ice lettuce, cucumber, celery, etc. and don't eat anything what would be better for them. But I'm still trying . Hopefully the chicks will start eating it and then maybe their parents will see it's good to eat

My budgies see the celery as soon as I come out the back door - at least 40 feet away and they line up on the wire waiting for me to come over & give it to them!

My tiels are like that about grevillea leaves
