Frozen Veggies

Featured Replies

i was given bags of frozen mixed veggies are they okay to give to the budgies? or for that matter my lovebird too...

these are the contents of the bags

broccoli, carrots, limabeans, and italian beans(kinda looks like white kidney beans).

As far as i know frozen veggies are fin for budgies and lovebirds, i don't think they're as nutritious as fresh veggies though.

You can also mix up your fresh and freeze them too, I would say frozen is better then can (too many preservatives & salt)

frozen is fine  they just tend to contain more water and less nutrients than fresh raw veggies, but you can mix the two in the weekly diet. beans are a good source of protein.

they are great to keep in the freezer incase you cant get to the store to buy fresh. just not as nutritious.

i have frozen vegies in the freezer all the time, my budgie earthquake kit, (Laughing out loud)!
